Original 1909 fire insurance policy covering the Desert Power and Mill Company's ore mill at Millers, Nevada, now a ghost town 12 miles west of Tonopah. The company built its 100-stamp mill there in 1906 to treat ore for the Tonopah Mining Co., and it was the larger of the two mills in town.

Policy No. 737616 was issued by the Jefferson Fire Insurance Company of Philadelphia through its Pacific Coast Department in San Francisco (C. J. Stovel, Manager). It runs from January 1, 1909 to January 1, 1910, for $2,000 at a premium of $33.10. The heading carries a large engraved portrait of Thomas Jefferson.

The attached schedule itemizes the mill complex, with this policy covering a pro rata share of each item:

1. $115,000 on the frame iron-clad "Quartz and Cyanide Leaching Mill"
2. $170,350 on tanks and machinery in the mill
3. $500 on the transformer house
4. $3,500 on transformers and other machinery
5. $500 on the store house
6. $200 on the oil house
7. $500 on the blacksmith shop
8. $250 on blacksmith shop machinery
9. $500 on the concentrate house
10. $200 on the lime house
