Antique “Our Chieftain” cigar box label featuring a color portrait of Ulysses S. Grant within a blue oval, surrounded by oak leaves and decorative scrollwork. A distinctive piece of historic tobacco advertising with appeal to cigar label and U.S. Grant collectors.
The label measures approximately 5½ inches wide by 4 inches tall. It appears to have been removed from a cigar box: fibrous material remains adhered along the upper portion of the back.
Condition: Bright color on the front, with a missing section along the lower left edge, a short tear near that edge, other small edge losses, and age and handling wear. Please examine all photos, including the back and ruler views, for the exact condition and measurements. You will receive the single label shown.
